So the IITs Suck !! Bring in more Dalits !!
This reservation issue has really got me going through the virtual world looking for different viewpoints. Read this criticism of IITs .
If the so-called representatives of OBC/ Dalits have such narrow-minded and foolish viewpoints then there really is no point in having a debate on reservation. After all, for them it is " Justice Delayed " .
P.S So the government comes out with the proposal and roadmap to implement the quotas . Its a black day in the history of India .

Cynical view on IITs, this view is a minority view, same as on the other side which regards backwards castes as snakes and call them names. Infact you can easily find out "so-called representatives", nay upholders of merit and anti reservations who have extreme cynical/sterotypical views. I think you too are now stereotyping all pro-quota views as foolish and narrow minded.
The best way is to ignore that view and look at finding a solution to this mess. DOnt generalise based on what "you" think are the representatives of SC/ST and OBCs.
here are somelinks for you to browse thru

=> a balanced analysis, similar to what I feel on this issue and yes he is NOT a quota student!
and now for a 'cynical' view, esp check out its defn for quota students "freeloaders" and complete contempt for anyone who disagrees:

thats a correct viewpoint Anon . I confess i got a bit carried away with the post but was really amazed at reading the article on IITs .
It would be wrong to label these guys as the OBC Voice, but the trouble is that the people who raise their voices tend to do so only to put forth extremly one-sided arguements. And this goes for both sides .
You can see from my previous posts that I am in Favour of Quotas, but not in their current form . What happens then is that extremists on both sides get noticed and promoted and that is what comes to be regarded as the general viewpoint.
